DESCRIPTION:
The current flow is managed by a passive electrical component called a 50W 100 Ohm Wire Wound Resistor. An insulated metallic wire twisted around a core of a non-conductive material serves as the resistive element. Typically, nickel-chromium (Nichrome), a copper-nickel-manganese alloy, makes up the high-resistivity wire material. Typical core materials include ceramic, glass, and plastic.
USES:
- It is utilised to create the fusible resistor in circuit breaker fuses.
- equipment for testing batteries.
- X-ray apparatus Flow meters.
- Transducers equipment.
- controls for lighting.
- communications.
- machine tools.
